This is the ancestral homeland of the Papaschase Cree, and the traditional homeland of the Cree, Dene, Blackfoot, Nakoda Sioux, Salteaux, and Metis nation peoples, as well as all nations not represented in these Treaties and those nations whose names, traditions, and languages have been lost due to colonization. We express gratitude and respect for the land we use, pledge to end systemic racism, and commit to advancing reconciliation and partnering with Indigenous peoples in our work to honour the history and the traditions of the families we serve.
