Help provide long-term safety for families rebuilding after family violence. Donate today.

Every day, families arrive at WINGS after fleeing domestic violence, often with little more than what they can carry.

Your gift today helps provide safe housing, meals, children’s supports, counselling, and long-term care that helps families rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

At WINGS, safety is not only a place to stay. It is childcare, basic needs, emotional support, and the time families need to move forward.

Donate today and help make safety possible.

About WINGS

WINGS is a registered charity in Edmonton that supports over 300 survivors and their children every year. Last year, 98 percent of the families at WINGS did not return to their abuser, a powerful reflection of how long-term support strengthens safety, stability, and independence.

At WINGS, families rebuilding after family violence live in private furnished apartments for six months or longer while accessing counselling, youth programming, childcare support, cultural connection, and help transitioning into independent housing. With time, safety, and support, families are able to imagine new futures and move forward with dignity.

Impact of your Gift

Your support helps provide stability, dignity and connection for survivors and children as they rebuild.

$35  - A welcome essentials kit for one survivor (toiletries, menstrual products, basic hygiene items)

Having my own basics helped me feel less overwhelmed when I got here.

$100 - Fresh bedding, towels and linens for one family’s apartment, helping it feel safe and comfortable

Clean sheets and blankets helped our space feel like a home.

$250 - A two-week grocery gift card for one family, including culturally familiar food

Being able to choose our own groceries helped us feel in control again.

$500 - Approximately three nights of safe housing and support services for one survivor

Having a safe place to stay gave me time to breathe, plan and rebuild.

Because This is How it Should Be…

Why Long-Term Support Matters

Rebuilding life after family violence takes more than emergency shelter. Survivors need safety, stability and time. Many families arrive with limited belongings, financial strain and disrupted routines. Children may have experienced sudden changes in their homes, schools and sense of security.

With long term supports, families can re establish safety, rebuild routines, secure permanent housing and create new futures. Donations help fill essential gaps in housing, basic needs, cultural connection and youth programs that support healing and independence.
