We are thrilled to recognize Millwoods Community Church as WINGS’ Champion of Hope for the month of August! 💜

For many years, Millwoods Community Church has been a steadfast friend and partner to WINGS, providing hands-on help, heartfelt care, and community spirit that directly supports our residents and programs. Their dedication truly makes a difference:

🍞 Feeding Families – Their amazing volunteers pick up bread and food donations from local grocery stores multiple times each week, delivering them to WINGS for our residents. They have also provided WECAN Food Basket orders for families moving in, helping them start their new chapter with a stocked kitchen.

🤝 Showing Up to Help – Whether it’s volunteering at our community events or lending a hand at WINGS, their members are always ready to pitch in. This year alone, they’ve supported our 30th Annual Mother’s Day Tea and our much-loved Tie-Dye Day, where they ran a full barbecue lunch for everyone to enjoy.

🎶 Raising Funds & Awareness – From hosting their annual Christmas Choir event in support of WINGS to taking part in our WINGMAN Campaign (with Pastor Aaron joining again this year), they help ensure women and children fleeing domestic violence have the resources they need to rebuild. Most recently, they stopped by our Stuff the Bin event at IKEA and donated a generous amount of essential bedding, housewares, and other much-needed items for families supported through Safe Futures YEG.

Millwoods Community Church embodies what it means to be a true Champion of Hope—giving time, energy, and compassion to help families heal and thrive.
