🌟 Pals Sandwiches: Our June Champion of Hope

We’re thrilled to celebrate Pals Sandwiches as WINGS’ June Champion of Hope!

This June, the amazing team from Pals—part of the beloved local restaurant family behind The Next Act, MEAT, Pip, Marlo, and Pals Sandwiches—came out to WINGS for a summer kick-off barbecue to remember. They donated their time, energy, and incredible food to support the families we serve.

After a fun morning of outdoor games and activities, families from both WINGS buildings gathered to enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by Pals: grilled chicken, beef, and veggie burgers, plus pasta salad and potato salad—all barbecued and served with so much heart. It was a joyful afternoon filled with laughter, connection, and community spirit. Families loved it.

Moments like this matter. Many of the families at WINGS have fled violence and are working hard to rebuild their lives. Sharing a meal, playing together, and feeling surrounded by support reminds them they are not alone—and that their community cares.

Huge thanks to the Pals team for nourishing both body and spirit, and to the WINGS staff for organizing a safe, welcoming, and fun event for all.
